Welcome to Sixth Grade
Sixth grade is an exciting time! Students have multiple musical and athletic opportunities. They can look forward to crafting essays, solving equations, exploring places around the world, discovering how things work, and most of all, understanding and appreciating God’s amazing love for his children.
Mr. Andrew Olson
"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts." Colossians 3:16
Mr. Olson graduated from Martin Luther College in 2008. The same year he was married to Bethany. Andrew was assigned to Peridot Lutheran School on the Apache reservation, where he taught one year. Andrew moved to Wisconsin in 2009 after Bethany was called to teach at St. Philip's in Milwaukee. Andrew worked at both St. Philip's and Garden Homes as a Teacher Assistant. In 2011 he was also called to teach at St. Philip's as a first and second grade teacher. Andrew accepted the call to Emmanuel in 2020.
Andrew and Bethany have two daughters: Chloe and Norah.
Andrew grew up in San Diego, CA, and enjoys doing just about anything outside, especially hiking, tennis, and golf. He also collects sports bobbleheads and is a Packers fan.
