Welcome to Preschool
Preschoolers learn best through play, using their whole body and engaging the senses. Through a balance of free play and well planned, teacher guided play, students develop motor skills, creative expression, and social skills. They learn early math concepts, pre-writing and pre-reading skills. Through Bible stories and songs they discover how to incorporate Jesus into everyday situations.

Mrs. Robin Marten
"I will lift up my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1-2

Mrs. Marten had the privilege of being a student and now a teacher at Emmanuel. She attended Emmanuel Lutheran School where her father was her 6th-8th grade teacher and principal. She married her husband Lance at Emmanuel Lutheran Church and also sent her two children to Emmanuel. After receiving her teaching degree from Arizona State University she taught Kindergarten for 5 years in a Charter School and was a Mentor Teacher for 2 years after that. She received her call to teach the 3 and 4 year old classes in 2012 where she taught the class in the church nursery for 1½ years. As God blessed the ministry at Emmanuel a new building was built. Currently, Robin is the preschool teacher and director of Sonshine Preschool. In her free time she enjoys watching her children play sports and socializing with friends.
